A bit fluffy, overall, and there were certainly some odd things about the writing (was the narrator supposed to be someone else?), and the resolution was a bit unexpected, but overall, I enjoyed it a great deal, in spite of all the problems. To me, the real charm of this book was in the descriptions, in the settings, in the tone of voice which so well evokes a certain time and place.
