This should probably closer to 3.5 or 3.75, but... well. I read it pretty much straight through, without too many breaks, and found it engaging and well-paced and interesting enough, without getting bogged down by too much backstory, and makes me want to read on in the series, so rounding up to four stars it is.
It did feel a little
like "Percy Jackson for adults", but books centering around the descendants of Greek (and other) gods are common enough by now that it would be doing them a disservice to just dismiss them all as Percy rip-offs. And this one certainly felt different enough to stand comfortably on its own.
