Very readable, although especially to start with, I felt there was far
too much tell, tell, tell and barely any showing at all. Either I got used to the style or it got better, but it didn't bother me as much towards the end.
I'm not quite sold on Daine yet and all other characters just seemed to be there for her to react to, but it was enjoyable enough that I'll be wanting to read more. My main problem with this book was that all the good guys were just so good
- so very boringly good
, brave, honourable, kind, nice, friendly, awesome, good
- but that's something I can deal with, I suppose.
