Meh. Maybe I've just read too many YA dystopian novels this last year or more, but most of them are failing to really enthuse me these days.
Legend is one of those - not bad
or anything, just, well, not really outstanding either. A pretty standard dystopian, military tyranny, bad government versus good downtrodden people. I suppose I should give credit for having one of the protagonists turn from a properly brainwashed perfect little solder into someone questioning her ideals and everything she's taught and breaking free of the conditioning, but when that stems from insta-love for the beautiful blue eyes of the boy she previously considered her worst enemy...
