Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) - Jenn Bennett It took me a bit to get into this book - about a tenth into it, I'd pretty much resigned to having yet another "meh" to put on my urban fantasy list - but then it picked up really nicely and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.

Even if I did figure out the plot twist a little before it happened, but I don't mind that - it happens so seldom for me that it just makes me feel accomplished. :D

Interesting, balanced characters - Arcadia in particular felt nice and realistic and not overly irritating like some urban fantasy heroines end up being; Lon was okay; Jupe was nice. A decently thought-out world with enough originality to make it interesting. An okay plot. So, yeah, not much to complain about.

Oddly enough, in spite of the four star rating, I'm not feeling any great hurry to read on in the series, but it's certainly going on that "could read more of this eventually" list.
