Relic (Pendergast, #1) - Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child Started out slow enough that I actually struggled with it a bit at first, but once the action kicked in, it became quite a bit more interesting.

Not something I'd really see myself ever wanting to re-read, but the writing was solid enough and the characters seemed real (if somewhat stereotyped) enough that I might well pick up another book in this series whenever I need a break with brain switched mostly off. Also, I rather liked Pendergast, even if he didn't feature very heavily in this first book, so that's definitely a plus.
